A woman who met a man on Match.com says that her “millionaire” boyfriend is now missing after he convinced her to get married within a week, and she sent him $80,000.

An Alpharetta, GA woman who was looking for love says she instead ran into a scammer.

The woman says she met John Martin Hill, 35, on Match.com in March.

Hill convinced her that he was a millionaire, and their romance ensued.

He convinced the woman they were in love, took her house hunting, and showed her beautiful homes, and they selected one they were interested in.

After a week, they agreed to get married.

The victim says she sent Hill $80,000 to buy a house and furniture. She says that as soon as she sent the money, Hill stopped talking to her.

Detectives investigated the case and found that Hill lived at an apartment in unincorporated Duluth with a woman and child. They also said he changed his name more than 5 times in the past 3 years.

Police believe that the victim wasn’t the only woman Hill scammed, saying that he has victims in Maryland, New Jersey, and Virginia.

John Martin Hill is currently missing, and police have issued a warrant for Hill.

Police say if you have any information on Hill’s whereabouts to call Crimestoppers.
