Sandra Manuela Da Costa Macedo, a 27 year old woman, was trying to take a selfie on a 27th floor balcony while sitting on the balcony railing.

As Sandra sat on the railing taking the selfie, multiple people shouted at her to stop, trying to warn her that it was  extremely dangerous. The onlooker filming what was happening can be heard in the video saying “She’s mad, there she goes, look at her, look at her, she’s fallen, she’s fallen!.” as she fell to her death from the 27th floor. Here’s the video of the woman falling (Warning, it’s a very distressing video)

Paramedics rushed to the scene after the incident to a building called the Luxor Tower in Panama City after they were called around 10 a.m.

The police are still investigating, but are reportedly holding a theory that a gust wind may have knocked her over.

Panama’s Fire Service made a post on their official twitter account warning everyone. The tweet read:

“Don’t risk your life for a selfie.

It’s more important to lose a minute in life than your life in a minute.”
