A 15 year old girl was raped at a party by a private schoolboy.
The girl had gone to a Mardi-gras themed birthday party in the eastern suburbs of Sydney in 2017 with a group of friends, and went missing within an hour.
The girl is believed to have been drunk off of multiple cans of vodka Smirfnoff, and alcohol from a flask reports say.
When the friends of the victim found out she was missing, they went looking for her, and found the rapist sexually assaulting her behind a Marquee in a dark bushy area. The friends allegedly found the victim in a semi conscious state, and the boy was raping her. The friends then screamed at the boy to stop, and got him out of there.
The next day, the boy sent the video he took of himself raping the girl to a friend on facebook messenger, which police later used as evidence.
The boy was charged and banned from stalking or contacting the girl, after he was granted $10,000 bail.
The boy was let off with 20 months probation on thursday. That’s it. The boy’s name and information is also being kept private by the system.
Oh but wait, we’re of course not done until we hear the speech given to the boy by the judge.
The judge, Ms Duncombe, told the boy who raped a 15 year old girl and filmed it:
‘Don’t make this hold you back. This is a very big mistake, but one mistake, It doesn’t determine your future.’
She also criticized the host of the party, saying that the lack of supervision:
possibly contributed to what happened
