A woman got on the bus to confront a 9-year-old boy.
Patrice Henry, mother of a 5-year-old boy who got hit by a 9-year-old, entered the bus after getting a call from her child’s school saying that the 9-year-old allegedly hit her kindergarten aged son in the face.
She entered the bus on February 4th on the ride home and that’s when the fight broke out.
Police reports say that when the school bus approached, Henry entered the bus and yelled out “Who hit my son!” and all the children pointed at the boy. The police report says Henry
wrapped her hand around his neck area and struck him with a closed fist.
Batiste said she once worked as a bus monitor, and blames the bus driver for what happened in this situation, saying:
In this case — cause she didn’t do anything — a parent was able to get on the bus and beat my child,” she said. “Choke him and slap him up against the windows! I feel like that’s not right at all.”
Henry is facing a simple battery charge.
Batiste went on to speak about the bus driver:
“I would like for her to be fired! I don’t think she should be driving any child, because if you allow this parent to get on the bus, who’s to say you’re not going to allow it to happen again?”
