A video that shows an officer named Jake Perry abusing a child in school is trending as people are trying to get him fired.
A recent video of a police officer abusing a child has parents worried as to how often this happens.
Jake Perry is a resource officer at Fairview Highschool, who lifted a child off his feet for several seconds by his neck as he choked him.
In the background of the video you can hear some casual laughter that suggests this is normalized.
Here’s the video:
I’d like to introduce you to Jake Perry. He is the school resource officer at Camden Fairview High School. He felt that it was appropriate to choke this CHILD, to the point of lifting him completely in the air. A non resisting child.— InMinivanHell (@inminivanhell) February 11, 2020
REPOST! Get LOUD!
Camden Police Chief Boyd M. Woody (Arkansas) issued a statement that the officer has been “relieved of duty pending an investigation.”
He hasn’t been arrested yet, and is on paid leave while they “investigate.”
The cousin has said that he was in a an argument leading up to this with another student.— InMinivanHell (@inminivanhell) February 11, 2020
