United Airlines is currently being sued for filling airplanes with young white female flight attendants for NFL players.
According to a new lawsuit, United Airlines knows the NFL players like white women, so they choose women based on their race and pack them in the plane.
The suit is brought by two veteran flight attendants who allege that United Airlines chooses the women:
entirely on their racial and physical attributes, and stereotypical notions of their allure
The attendants who brought the lawsuit consist of a Jewish woman who’s been with the airline for 34 years, and a Black Woman who’s been with the airline for 28 years.
According to the two flight attendants bringing the lawsuit, Kim Guillory and Sharon Tesler, they were told by the airline that they wouldn’t be able to get them work on the planes because they weren’t on the “preferred” lists that were based on the teams preferences.
The two said they then noticed that all the women on the planes were young white blonde women.
They said they said filed complaints with the airline but we’re ignored.
The lawsuit alleges that United Airlines:
has adopted and continues to implement procedures that are designed to ensure that young, white, blond/blue-eyed, female employees receive positions with the charter program, while more senior, and Black and Jewish employees such as plaintiffs, do not,”
They’re seeking monetary and punitive damages.
