A man posed for a caricature painting, after it was finished he robbed the artist.

On December 5th the man in the drawing approached a caricature artist at the Festival of Lights in Riverside and asked for a drawing of himself.

After the drawing was done, the man robbed the artist instead, and left the drawing behind.

Police say the man forcefully grabbed the money bag that belonged to the artist and made off with the $500 inside.

The Riverside police department released the caricature drawing on social media and posted:

DO YOU RECOGNIZE THIS CARICATURE? And no, we are not kidding…

The man approached the artist at downtown Riverside at around 11:50pm and fled on foot after taking the money. 

Police released a description of the man:

This caricature is of the suspect, but of course, has exaggerated characteristics and features. The suspect was described as a Black make adult in his early 20’s, about 5’1” tall with an average build, black hair and mustache, and last seen wearing a blue and red jacket, white undershirt, black pants, and red hat.
