Video shows woman colliding with a man’s car and then fleeing the scene. The father died on Father’s day. Police have identified the woman and people are trying to catch her.
A video captured a woman named Maritza Joana Lara running a red light and colliding into another woman on early Sunday morning.
It’s reported that Lara, who was driving a 2016 Lexus sendan ran away on foot after she broadsided a 2005 Nissan Murano in the area of Parthenia Street and Haskell Avenue.

Lara has a previous DUI conviction and police found open containers in the wreckage and suspect alcohol may have been a factor.
LAPD Det. Lisset Fuentes told reporters:
“We’re still looking for her, for leads, people are still calling in giving us information, eventually we’ll get there. It’s best for her to turn herself in, but there is a lot of people calling us, so eventually we’ll get her.”
A female passenger who was in the car with Lara was arrested on unrelated outstanding warrants she had after being treated in the hospital.
