A mother allegedly brought her daughters to fight a beauty supply store worker, the sisters were both shot and died, and the mom reportedly fled the scene.
A woman named Montieria Myers, allegedly asked her mother to drive her to a beauty supply store where she wanted to confront a worker who she was having a dispute with.
The mother, Latonya Myers drove both Montieria, and her other daughter Mernaíya Myers to the Simply Unique Hair Beauty Supply store in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Authorities say the three went to confront a shop worker about an ongoing dispute.
According to video surveillance, there was an altercation that occurred, the worker was badly beaten according to authorities. The worker then drew a gun and shot the two daughters.
According to multiple witnesses who knew the two, the dispute was about a man. Comments on their social media read:
Others who know her say it wasn’t about a man at all, and the shop worker is someone who continuously bullied Montieria and attacked her at her home recently, so she went to confront her.
According to witnesses, the mother ran out of the shop refusing to help her daughters, get into a black car and drive away. Authorities say the mother is currently in hiding.
One of the sisters died at the scene, the other was taken to the hospital where she died.
The alleged shooter was taken in for questioning, but no arrests were made so far.
The beauty shop owner and the worker have reportedly left the city for their safety.
