Megan Thee Stallion’s label comes for her after she made a video this morning calling them out for not letting her create music/renegotiate her contract. They tagged JPrince in the post, tagged the post “mobties” & stated: “when you double-cross me..”
This morning Megan Thee Stallion went on IG live to tell her fans her label has been holding her back.
She said they’re preventing her from creating music, and she’s been having issues with them since signing a management deal with Roc Nation.
She was around 20 years old when she joined 1501 Entertainment. She says she was young and didn’t know much about contracts.
When she joined Roc Nation and received good lawyers, the lawyers read the contracts and informed her that the contract allowed her label to control the release of her music, which she didn’t know because she didn’t understand the contract.
She says she doesn’t want to leave the label, but simply wanted to renegotiate, and that they turned on her once she asked.
Here’s the video:

1501’s IG, run by the owner named Carl, apparently in response to Megan’s video this morning posted that “payback’s a b*tch.”, and that she “double crossed” them:
Megan also created a hashtag to raise awareness and try to get out of the contract:
