Zachary Alperin is being charged with rape and sodomy in the 2nd degree after confessing he raped a woman on Saturday.

The 22-year-old who attends Missouri State University raped a young woman on campus after they attended a MeToo rally together.

After the MeToo rally, they met up for drinks, and went back to her room on campus. The woman told Alperin that he could stay the night, but told him that she did not want to have sex with him.

The woman says she then woke abruptly from her sleep and Alperin was on top of her with no clothes on trying to force himself on her and started performing sexual acts and raped her. She then managed to push him off and get away.

She called the police and when they arrived got a statement from him, and the police reports state that Alperin said:

‘I guess I tried to force myself on her, and I feel like such a terrible person for it.’

Zachary Alperin is currently being held on bail for $20,000 at the Greene County Jail.
