A man, who says he didn’t ask for any of this, is taking his parents to court and suing them for giving birth to him without his consent.
No, not a single thing here is a joke.
27-year-old Raphael Samuel says his parents gave birth to him without asking for his consent, and he now has to deal with the things in life, like bills and other major inconveniences that come with being alive, saying he didn’t ask for any of this.
Samuel says he doesn’t have anything against children or anything like that, but says he believes that a lifeform that has not given its consent to exist should not be brought into the world to face the hardships of life. In other words, don’t give birth, but if you do, that child/adult, if they’re your offspring should be taken care of for your entire life in every single way they want or need.
He’s an anti-natalist who believes giving birth to sentient beings without first asking for their consent is morally wrong.
Samuel, who’s from India told an Indian Newspaper:
“I want to tell all Indian kids that they don’t owe their parents anything. I love my parents, and we have a great relationship, but they had me for their joy and their pleasure. My life has been amazing, but I don’t see why I should put another life through the rigamarole of school and finding a career, especially when they didn’t ask to exist.”
Samuel runs an anti-natalist page that promotes not giving birth to children because you don’t have their position, or not giving birth to them until you’re going to be the one to take care of them their entire life, saying things like
Isn’t forcing a child into this world and forcing it to have a career, kidnapping and slavery?”
“Your parents had you instead of a toy or a dog, you owe them nothing, you are their entertainment”.
“Other Indian people must know that it is an option not to have children, and to ask your parents for an explanation as to why they gave birth to you,”
Samuel is currently trying to take his parents to court to sue them for giving life to him, so that he may be compensated for the rest of his life, because he didn’t ask for any of this.
