ABC News, TMZ, and Kobe’s reps report that Kobe’s daughter Gianna was with him on the crash, and has also died.
Following reports of Kobe Bryant’s death, it’s now being reported that his daughter Gianna was among the people who died with him on the crash with Kobe.
Bryant was known for commuting from Newport Beach, CA to the STAPLES Center in DTLA in his Sikorsky S-76 chopper.
Kobe Bryant became licensed to pilot a helicopter since 2012, and was known to travel by helicopter.
According to reports they were on their way to the Mamba Academy for a basketball practice when the crash occurred. The Academy is in nearby Thousand Oaks.
At 13 years old, Gianna was a rising basketball player like her father.

Kobe Bryant has reportedly died after a helicopter crash.
The nation is currently extremely shaken after reports of Kobe Bryant’s death. Kobe Bryant was reportedly riding with 8 other people when a fire broke out on the helicopter.
The helicopter crashed, and 9 people are now confirmed dead.
After the crash, emergency responders made it to the scene, but no one on board had survived. Eyewitnesses who saw the helicopter say they heard the engine sputtering as it flew.
Kobe Bryant is recognized as one of the greatest basketball players of all time, and to his fans this all seems too unbelievable.
Kobe was recently spotted with his daughter Gianna, a rising basketball player herself, at basketball games.
