Chance The Rapper says: “Making a song with R. Kelly was a mistake. I didn’t value the accusers’ stories because they were black women”

Chance the Rapper nown says it was a mistake to make songs with R Kelly.

In the final episode of the Lifetime Docuseries “Surviving R. Kelly” Chance The Rapper says that he shouldn’t have multiple songs with R Kelly.

In 2014 during his Lollapalooza set held in the Chicago, Chance the Rapper brought out R Kelly as a surprise with welcoming words, “Make some noise for the Pied Piper of R&B”.

He continued to collaborate with R Kelly in 2015, appearing R Kelly’s “Backyard Party”, and collaborated with him on a song called “Somewhere in Paradise”

On the Docuseries, Chance the Rapper told Jamilah Lemieux of Cassius:

Making a song with R. Kelly was a mistake. I didn’t value the accusers’ stories because they were black women, I made a mistake.

Fans are currently extremely angry at him for the comment.

It’s mentioned that it’s not made clear if the comment was recorded with “Surviving R. Kelly” or if it was unreleased footage from an unrelated interview.

R Kelly was recently outed by people very close to him, and his entourage who admitted they directly saw R Kelly having sex/raping 15 year old Aaliyah with their own eyes. They openee the dooor one day, and saw R Kelly having sex with Aaliyah.

They also say R Kelly used his power to molest and have sex with very young girls.

R Kelly’s albums, since the docuseries, have risen to the top in charts, and streaming and support of his music has shot up.
