A man was arrested on a bomb threat in New Orleans.
Arthur Posey, 30 years old, entered a New Orleans, USA, branch of Willie’s Chicken Shack on November 13th at around 7pm.
According to the manager, who may have misunderstood and misquoted the situation, said Posey threatened to get “a bomb and blow this place up”.
The manager of the restaurant said the man walked up to the food-prep area and asked how long the restaurant was going to stay open. The manager responded that she didn’t know. The manager then said that Posey said,
Y’all about to close right now, because I’m going to get a bomb and blow this place up.
The police was called, and Posey was arrested.
Posey told the authorities that he had not threatened to blow up the bathroom, but that his threats to blow the bathroom up was just saying that he going to “Blow the bathroom up” with a Bowel movement. That his Bowel movement was going to be so severe and intense, that it was going to “blow this place up”, and that he didn’t have an actual bomb.
The police said the manager didn’t mention the bathroom when they arrested him.
Posey is still in custody and is facing two counts of “communicating of false information of planned arson.”
Orleans Parish Magistrate Judge Harry Cantrell scheduled a mental competency hearing for Posey on November 29.
