Terry Crews spoke about his experience at America’s Got Talent in comparison to what Gabrielle Union says she went through. He’s now under fire because Gabrielle Union was one his biggest vocal supporters in his sexual assault.
During an interview on the Today Show, Terry Crews was asked about the Gabrielle Union controversy at America’s Got Talent.
Variety published a report where Gabrielle Union stated that the network wasn’t picking her contract back up after they’ve made an insensitive black joke, and also stated that her hairstyles were too black for the show.
In the interview Terry Crews stated that he had no problems of racism at the show, and it just wasn’t his experience.
He said he can speak on the racism because he’s a black man.
He stated:
“First of all, I can’t speak for sexism because I’m not a woman, but I can speak on behalf of any racism comments. That was never my experience on ‘America’s Got Talent.’”
He added:
“In fact, it was the most diverse place I have ever been in my 20 years of entertainment.”
People brought up that Gabrielle Union very much supported Terry Crews and stood by him when he accused a Hollywood executive of sexual assault.
