4 people tried to rob a pizza delivery man at gun point, he took out his own gun and shot them. They’re recovering in the hospital.

Police say a pizza delivering man was on the job when 4 men ambushed him.

The incident happened around midnight at the Hillrock Estates Apartments on Magnolia Hill Drive, Charlotte, North Carolina.

Danny Melenfant, a witness who lives in the complex where robbery took place said he saw a little of what happened. He told police:

“I heard some gunshots earlier in the night, and I looked out my window and there (were) cops everywhere. They had somebody at gunpoint.”

Police say the would-be robbers placed what the pizza delivery man thought to be a rifle to his head.

The delivery man then quickly took his own gun out of his pocket and shot 3 of them. They limped away.

Police managed to catch up with three of the criminals later near a laundromat on Kilborne Drive.

Two of the suspects were taken to the hospital and treated for gunshot wounds, they’re expected to live. The third suspect was not shot.

A fourth suspect then showed up to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest in desperation for treatment. 

The suspects include a 15-year-old boy, a 16-year-old boy, along with 18-year-old Toybyus Banks and 20-year-old Nemiah McInnis. 

The 15-year-old was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon after he was treated at the hospital.

The 16-year-old was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Police say 18-year-old Toybyus Banks is still being treated at the hospital, but once released he will be arrested for robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.

The 20-year-old, Nemiah McInnis,  was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon after he was released from the hospital. 

Police investigated the scene of the crime and found the weapon that was used by the suspects. Upon further inspection the found that the weapon was a toy.

The delivery driver wasn’t hurt, and the police what not yet stated if he will face any charges.
